The Alley Cats, America’s premier doo-wop singers, will perform in Farmerville, LA, on Saturday, May 3, at 7 p.m. in the gym of Union Christian Academy, 700 S. Main St., Farmerville, LA.    They have opened for Jay Leno in Las Vegas since 2007, and have wowed audiences across the U.S.     For tickets, use the contact form, orcall 318-348-2005, or go to UCA office, Marion State Bank, or Community Trust Bank’s main branch in Farmerville.  ’50-style dinner is 5:30-6:30 (buy separate dinner ticket); American Bandstand dance demo at 6:30; then THE ALLEY CATS at 7.

The Alley Cats will lead a free workshop for all area singing groups at 1 p.m. in the UCA gym.  Come learn their expert advice on harmony, audience interaction, stage presence and other topics important to church, school, and community-based vocal ensembles.  Pre-register at 318-368-7570.

These May 3 events are being presented by Union Arts Council, Union Christian Academy, and Bernice Historical Society, with grant assistance through Northeast Louisiana Arts Council, and Louisiana State Arts Council.
